Cindy's Girls Foundation Adopts Banneker Elementary School
We are happy to announce that the Cindy’s Girls Foundation has adopted Banneker Elementary School. This means that we will be providing the school with several supplies, integral for the well-being of the children. These supplies will include items such as uniforms, school stationery, washing machine, dryer, laundry detergent, laundry baskets and small necessities for the boys and girls to help the school improve their educational environment and provide the children with some essentials. At that same age, many of our members were experiencing trauma and supporting some of these children who may be experiencing the same thing; we started our Adopt-A-School initiative.
Cindy’s Girl Foundation is a young and energetic global platform founded to empower women and children by sharing life experiences, training, leadership skills, and various resources to help them make positive choices and get back on their feet. The foundation was inspired by our founder’s mother, Cindy. In her honor, as a victim of domestic violence and breast cancer and domestic violence herself, we wanted to turn that pain into our purpose.
Our foundation works with families with children facing obstacles that might be preventing them from being successful in school. This is where we want to assist and show our support. The organization will be able to supply children with new clothing, textbooks, backpacks, school supplies, and other essentials like haircuts, food, and toiletries so they can focus on their studies without being distracted. We are hoping that through a partnership with the Banneker Elementary School, we will be able to make a difference in the lives of these children and help them reach their academic potential. We know this is a significant undertaking and will need a lot of community help to succeed. Donations are always welcome, especially at our upcoming Arise Gala on October 14th.
